چکیده

In this paper we propose a new paradigm to create superlenses inspired by n-p-n junctions of graphene. We show that adjoining n-type region and p-type with crystal dislocation, it is possible mimic the interaction complementary Hamiltonians achieve subwavelength imaging. introduce an effective model system, predicts perfect lensing for both propagating evanescent waves due excitation resonant mode at interface between each region. Electromagnetic field optimization: A physics-inspired metaheuristic optimization algorithm

This paper presents a physics-inspired metaheuristic optimization algorithm, known as Electromagnetic Field Optimization (EFO). The proposed algorithm is inspired by the behavior of electromagnets with different polarities and takes advantage of a nature-inspired ratio, known as the golden ratio. In EFO, a possible solution is an electromagnetic particle made of electromagnets, and the number o...

Left-handed metamaterial based superlens for subwavelength imaging of electromagnetic waves

Lenses made of negative index materials have the ability to focus the propagating and evanescent components of electromagnetic waves. Such a possibility enables super resolution, in turn resulting in sharper, subwavelength size images. In this present work, we present subwavelength imaging that was obtained from a one-dimensional left-handed metamaterial (LHM) composed of alternating layers of ...

Regenerating evanescent waves from a silver superlens.

We investigated a precursor of superlensing: regenerating evanescent waves by excitation of a surface plasmon. Because the permittivity of a silver slab approaches -1, we experimentally observed a broadening of surface-plasmon bandwidth. Our study identifies a means to access deep subwavelength features by use of a metamaterial superlens.

Far-field optical superlens.

Far-field optical lens resolution is fundamentally limited by diffraction, which typically is about half of the wavelength. This is due to the evanescent waves carrying small scale information from an object that fades away in the far field. A recently proposed superlens theory offers a new approach by surface excitation at the negative index medium. We introduce a far-field optical superlens (...
